Sad News
We didn't end up going to the dog show yesterday. Rhonda's house burned to the ground on Thursday. Thankfully, she was lucky enough to get out with her family and 9 of the pugs before it was too late.
Unfortunately, they still can't find their oldest pug, Chloe Belle. We're hoping that she's okay!
Please keep Rhonda and her family in your prayers. We're so happy that she and her family are alright, but I can't imagine how hard this must be for them.

Hang On a Little Longer, Sloopy
Sad news: Sloopy is not actually going to arrive this weekend. We just got an email from Rhonda, and it turns out that Daisy absorbed the litter of puppies she was carrying.
Good news: Maybe some things happen for a reason. At the same time that we found out that Daisy was no longer going to have puppies this weekend, we learned that Kinzy (another one of Rhonda's show pugs) is pregnant. She's not very far along yet, so we'll be waiting a little bit longer for our Sloopy to show up, but Kinzy is a pretty pug!

This weekend, we're going to stop by the Gateway Cluster (AKC All Breed Dog Show) put on by the Jefferson County Kennel Club. Rhonda will be showing another one of her pugs -- Bitsy, a.k.a. Wendys Lil Bit Of Hatch Havens Glory -- and she might be bringing Kinzy along as well. This will be our first dog show, and I'm secretly hoping that everyone is as quirky and funny as the characters in Best In Show.

Meet The Grandpug
This is Friskey. He's Daisy's sire, which means he's our pug's grandfather. Or grandpug, because that sounds cooler.

Obviously, I am overly excited about this pug thing. It's only going to get worse once Sloop gets here.

Sloopy's Mom Has Got It Going On
Meet Daisy!

She's our pug's mom. According to Rhonda (the breeder), she's due in early May. Possibly on Derby Day. There will be mint juleps to celebrate.

Hang on Sloopy...Sloopy hang on
This is our blog. We're kind of lame, and decided to name it after our pug. Um, yeah, the one that isn't born yet, but should be in about 2-3 weeks.

p.s. We're still working on the site design. It'll look much cooler once it has art and stuff.
